MONITECH DISTANCE MONITOR SYSTEM:
FUNCTIONALITY & PERFORMANCE:
- The Monitech Distance Monitor is an intrinsically safe system designed to assist in safely controlling the cut-out distance from the last line of support while providing an opportunity for an extended cut of a continuous miner.

OIL LEVEL SENSOR SYSTEM:
FUNCTIONALITY & PERFORMANCE:
- Designed specifically for Fletcher Roof Bolter equipment
- Measures both the tank level and temperature level.
- Level Sensing: The level sensor supplies the controller with a reading for the level. The controller is set to alarm at a set value and to trip at a different set value. The unit can be set to have a delay if required/desired. The “Oil Low” warning will flash if the oil is below the trip level for the duration of the delay time, then be displayed normally until the oil level recovers.
- Temperature Sensing: The temperature sensor supplies the controller with a reading for the temperature. The controller is set to trip if the temperature reaches a set point of 79 degrees Celsius. This point can be adjusted.
- Readings are translated and displayed by a Monitech XPX controller unit.
- Does not have moving parts and thus has long life expectancy.
- Measures actual value and not just switch points.
- Set points can easily be moved without needing to modify the hardware.

MONITECH ROOFBOLTER LASER GUARD:
FUNCTIONALITY & PERFORMANCE:
- A laser system designed to be fitted to both single or dual boom Roof Bolting Equipment to assist machine operators avoid potentially hazardous situations while performing roof bolting functions
- The laser scanner is mounted in an established position on the machine and produces an invisible barrier directed in front of the drilling head of the roof bolter
- Once this laser path is broken by (hand, limb or obstacle) the laser recognises this and operates a relay which in turn switches off a solenoid which is used to stop the rotation of the drill head function
- Once the obstacle is removed from the path of the beam, the system automatically resets and the drill rotate function resumes
- A complete Laser Guard System includes:

MONITECH OBSTACLE DETECTION SENSOR:
FUNCTIONALITY & PERFORMANCE:
- Designed to detect and stop mining machinery or parts thereof to prevent damage in the underground environment.
- Current systems use rods, switches and cables which can easily be bypassed resulting in capital losses.
- This intelligent Obstacle Detection system uses programmable sensors which are placed at strategic positions on the machine creating an invisible barrier.
- The System is Interlocked to the machine.
- This barrier can be manipulated to suit a required application on any machine i.e. minimising scrubber fan damage.
